Hey friends. So, today being Fat Tuesday and it being a tradition in my home to make something cajun or creole, I chose to make these Cajun Chicken Wings dry rub recipe in the Air Fryer. This saves so much time and space. Also, for festive days like today, it helps keep the oven free to make other Mardi Gras Recipes.
These super delicious Cajun Style Dry Rub Wings require bare minimum ingredients and are always a party favorite in my home. We love to make this for Game Day apart from other game day appetizers.

I love a good dry rub recipe. Especially a Wing Dry Rub Recipe is my favorite. It makes things so easy to forget about the sticky sauce and just coat the chicken wings in the seasoning along with some vegetable oil and fry it.
You can oven fry these Cajun Chicken Wings or use an Air Fryer as I did or just do it the traditional way and deep fry them in hot oil. At the end of the day, it's going to take the same 10-minutes to get them ready.

If you cannot find Cajun seasoning in the stores, then make it at home Just combine all of the following spices to make your homemade Cajun Seasoning.

- 2 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
- 2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
- 2 tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
🤔 How to make Cajun Dry Rub Chicken Wings in Air Fryer?
First, season the Chicken with Cajun Seasoning, Brown Sugar, chopped Chipotle Chilis, Cayenne Pepper, Salt & Pepper. Combine some Vegetable oil in the mix and toss to combine with the Chicken Wings.
Place them in Air Fryer and cook at 390F or 200C for 6 minutes. After that time, flip and cook at the same temperature for 5 more minutes.

Serve hot with your favorite sauce or dip.
What to serve these Cajun Dry Rub Chicken Wings with?
You can serve these Cajun Dry Rub Chicken Wings with pretty much any sauce you love. I love to serve this with my homemade Aioli or Cheesy Nacho Dip or Spicy Jalapeno Cheddar Dip or, sometimes just some Buffalo Wings Sauce or creamy Ranch. Other than that you can serve this with BBQ Sauce or Ketchup or any Sauce you love or prefer.
How to make these Dry Rub Chicken Wings Ahead of time?

You can coat the Chicken wings with cajun seasoning, brown sugar, and vegetable oil. Keep them covered in the refrigerator for 6-7 days or freeze them until you wish to use them. These can be frozen for about 1 week. Just thaw them overnight in the refrigerator before you put them in the air fryer to get fried. Also, fry for few extra minutes in the Air Fryer.
How to reheat Cajun Dry Rub Chicken Wings in Air Fryer?
Of course, you can replace Cajun dry rub with any other dry rub recipe you love. The steps and method remain the same. You can use an Espresso Rub or the ever-popular BBQ Rub or a Garlic Pepper Rub or Lemon Pepper Rub etc.

Cajun Dry Rub Chicken Wings in Air Fryer
INGREDIENTS
- 4 tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
- 2 pounds Chicken Wings
- 2 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Chipotle Chilis finely chopped (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil or Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Clean and pat dry the chicken wings with a paper towel. Coat them with Cajun Seasoning, Brown Sugar, Chipotle Chilis, Cayenne Pepper, Salt & Pepper. Add some Vegetable oil and toss to combine.
- Place the Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer. Cook for 6 minutes at 390F or 200C. After that time, flip and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Serve with any sauce or dip you love.

Hey I've updated the recipe! This dry rub recipe is for 2 pounds of chicken wings whioch is roughly about 10-12 chicken wings which are partly slit and used. hope this helps!
