Garbanzo Beans Meatballs
Garbanzo Beans or Chickpea Balls Recipe calls for Canned Chickpea. I have used Canned Chickpea which I have pulsed in the food processor along with some spices, onion, garlic, carrots, and bell peppers. Also, I have skipped breadcrumbs in this recipe.
If you are thinking that Chickpea Meatballs without Breadcrumbs is impossible then you are wrong. It is totally possible and is so much better. I have used Rolled Oats in place of Breadcrumbs and it works perfectly to soak out all the excess moisture and gives you the crispiest Meatballs ever!
So, next time, you are looking for a Breadcrumb alternative, always use Rolled Oats. It works perfectly.
Honestly, I am not a huge lover of Chickpeas myself. But this recipe has my heart. I never knew that Chickpea balls could taste so awesome!
The prep is a bit tedious and time-consuming however, the end results are so worth the effort you put in.
You can make these vegan Chickpea Meatballs and freeze them. Thaw and serve them on weekends in subs with a bowl of salad or over a bed of Spaghetti.
