Snickers Hot Chocolate

Snickers Hot Chocolate is creamy, chocolatey, and caramel flavoured hot chocolate with loads of marshmallows and whipped cream on top. This is the most chocolaty Hot Chocolate recipe of the season. Snickers hot chocolate is a creamy beverage variant of the popular candy bar Snickers. There's all the deliciousness of hot chocolate and top that with the caramel and nutty flavour of Snickers and you have a winner holiday drink which kids are going to LOVE. You only need Dark Chocolate and Snicker Bars to make this recipe, apart from some Almond Milk, Pure Vanilla, and Maple Syrup. This is an easy and quick hot chocolate recipe with candies! Talking about hot chocolate, have you tried my Peanut butter Hot Chocolate or my Peppermint White Hot Chocolate or Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate with Chai Spice yet?

Snickers Hot Chocolate

This chocolaty mug of Snickers Hot Chocolate is creamy, nutty and so chocolaty!

This Mug of Hot Chocolate reminds me of my childhood.

While I always love Hot Chocolate, I always added some caramel and some Peanut butter to my mug of hot chocolate right on top of my cool whip and enjoyed it!

Who would knew that Snickers would come around after I grew up and brilliantly combine all the three favourites in one bar - Chocolate, Caramel, and Peanut butter... 🙂

I just love Chocolate and Peanut Butter together. Try these favourite Chocolate and Peanut Butter recipes

I recently made this Mug of Snickers Hot Chocolate and enjoyed it while trimming the tree and decking the halls with my favourite Hot Chocolate Cookies.

This is kind of my tradition around the holidays. I enjoy listening to Romantic Christmas songs, sip Hot Chocolate, and decorate my Christmas Tree 🙂

I'm sure you too must have some kind of nostalgic memory associated with your mug of Hot Chocolate.

However weird it might be, I always feel that it's our happy place memories that make our present even better and hopeful.

And in this beautiful season of love, joy, and hope what's better than to sit in your bed or couch, and slip under the quilt, watch your favorite show, take a glance at the flickering Christmas tree lights and the snow outside, keep your phone out of the picture for once, wrap your hands around this hot mug of Snickers Hot Chocolate and enjoy.

Bonus - the Whipped Cream, the Bar of Snicker dipped in your Hot Chocolate, and Marshmallows with some more Chocolate drizzle on top! Nothing right! God, I love Christmas 🙂

I wanted to use up some leftover Candies and then came the idea of using up the Snickers to make a Snickers Hot Chocolate.

This is such an easy recipe.

You only need some Unsweetened Dark Chocolate and Snicker Bars to make this one. And this one gets ready in minutes.

You're going to love every drop of this one friends! It's seriously, De-Licious!!!!

Also, I have made this one with Almond Milk. You can skip the heavy cream frosting if you're not into it.

You can even replace Almond milk with some canned Coconut Milk or whole milk or 2% milk.

For that perfect holiday flavor, I have added a splash of Maple and Vanilla. I feel, that a hint of Vanilla, makes anything feel like the holidays!

And you know that Vanilla brings out the Chocolate flavour even better. Maple Syrup is just for that hint of sweetness, which balances the bitterness of Dark Chocolate and adds to the comforting vibes of this mug.

Ingredients used to make Snickers Hot Chocolate

  • 1 cup Almond Milk (can replace with whole milk or 2% milk)
  • 200gm Dark Chocolate (7.05oz) (can use unsweetened chocolate chips)
  • 1 Bar of Snickers
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoon Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Whipped Cream
  • Snickers
  • Marshmallows

How to make Snickers Hot Chocolate - A Step by Step Guide

Snickers Hot Chocolate with marshmallows

STEP 1: SIMMER THE MILK

  • Place a saucepan over Medium high heat and steam the Almond Milk until it gets frothy.
  • You can always replace unsweetened Almond milk with canned Coconut milk or Whole milk or 2% Milk
  • As the Milk gets frothy, throw in the Dark Chocolate Brick and Snicker Bar into the milk. Stir over medium-low heat, until the chocolate and the snicker bars melts completely.
  • You can use Unsweetened Chocolate Chips or Almond Bark or Dark Melting Wafers in place of Dark Chocolate.

If you want, you can add some Unsweetened Cocoa Powder as well. However, since my dark chocolate was already bitter and unsweetened, and I didn't want to make it any bitter so I skipped it.

If you have Milk Chocolate at home, then you should add some Unsweetened Cocoa Powder just for that extra chocolaty taste. However, DO NOT use both Unsweetened Chocolate Chips and Unsweetened Cocoa Powder together. It'll make your mug of hot chocolate incredibly bitter.

STEP 2: ADD HEAVY CREAM

  • Add that splash of Vanilla and 1 tablespoon of Maple Syrup to the melted chocolate.
  • Also, add 2 tablespoon of Heavy cream. Stir to combine until the hot chocolate slightly thickens.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Decorate the top with whipped cream, Marshmallows, and Snicker Bars. Enjoy!

Cooking Variations

Lastly, I would say that Hot Chocolate is one of those recipes, which is easy and very customizable. You can make any replacements you wish to.

You can replace Almond milk with Whole milk or 2%Milk or Coconut milk.

You can replace Snickers with any candy you love

You can add unsweetened cocoa powder if you want it less sweet

You can add 1 tablespoon of Granulated sugar if you like it, extra sweet.

Snickers Hot Chocolate

You can drizzle some more chocolate over the topping for more chocolatey flavors.
