It was a small party of just my close friends and I thought of serving them some of these adorable and tasty grilled Tofu Kabobs.
These babies came out just as I had imagined them and my pals more than loved it. In fact, they were all clicking photographs of the dish before having it! Made me feel so special 🙂

How to Grill Tofu?
Grilling Tofu is just like grilling any other meat or veggies. Just heat up your grill and meanwhile put your tofus in the skewers and start grilling them at high heat for at least 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes turn them so that the other side of the Tofus gets evenly grilled. And you're done grilling your Tofus.
What are Grilled Tofu Kabobs?

Grilled Tofu Kabobs are just grilled Tofus in the skewers along with some veggies. Of course, before you grill the Tofu, you marinate it in a yogurt spice mixture and freeze it for at least 2 hours. You can serve them in skewers. I served mine in toothpicks. Toothpick Kabobs look more elegant and are perfect for small parties.
Can I Grill Tofus in a Grill Pan?
Of course, you can use your very own grill pan and grill the tofus. You can spray some oil on the grill pan and then place your Tofus and veggies to get charred. After 3 minutes, you can turn them so that they get charred from the other side as well. However, they will not have the smokey flavor to it.
How to induce Smokey Flavors in homemade grill pan Kabobs
To induce the smokey flavor of the grill in your Tofu Kabobs, First of all, use a pair of Tongs to heat your charcoal lump. Do not burn it. Just heat it from a distance so that it begins to smoke. Just when it's hot enough take a small bowl and fill it with some of that hot charcoal. Place a tablespoon of butter in it and immediately place this bowl in the dish where your Tofu Kabobs are kept. Cover the Tofu Kabobs along with the Charcoal with a cloche or any deep dish utensils you have. Let your Tofu Kabobs sit in the smoke for about 3-4 minutes. After that time, remove the Cloch and your smokey flavored Tofu Kabobs are ready. These come out just as great as grilled Tofus. The best part is, you can make it instantly, even when you're in a rush or when it's too cold to go outside. The Tofus and Veggies absorb all the flavors of the smoke and feel like they have been grilled to perfection.
How to Make Grilled Tofu Kabobs
To make Grilled Tofu Kabobs, first, I took a brick of Tofu and de-freeze it. After that, I wrapped it in a parchment paper and placed it between two dishes, while putting a heavy bottom pan atop the last place facing me. I did this so that the excess moisture from my Tofus come out and they taste perfect.
Next, I chopped my colorful Bell Peppers and my Onions into dices. It's very important that all your veggies should be of the same size. Or else, it'll become very difficult to place them into the skewers and grill them evenly.
After my Tofus had released their moisture, I took it out of the parchment paper and started cutting it into 1-inch cubes.
Then I prepared a marination mixture of Yogurt with some Cayenne Pepper, Ground Cumin, Maple Syrup, Lemon Juice, Dry Mango Powder, Salt, and Black Pepper Powder. I mixed these spices well with my Yogurt and some Olive Oil. I coated my Tofus with the marinade and allowed them to sit in the freezer for about 1 hours.
After 1 hours, I heated my Barbeque grill. Meanwhile, I kneaded the Tofus and Veggies in a skewer.
Finally, I grilled my Tofus and Veggies and after 4 minutes, I used my tongs to turn it on the opposite side, so that they get evenly grilled. After my Tofus and Veggies were grilled to perfection, I carefully took them out and colled them for 2 minutes. After two minutes, I used a knife to get them all out on a separate plate.
This is how you too can make Grilled Tofu Kabobs at home in a snap and serve it for your parties or to your family.
Grilled Tofu Kabobs in the Grill Pan
If you are making kabobs in the grill pan, then you can drizzle some olive oil in the grill pan and place your Tofus and Veggies skewers in it. After that, use a pair of tongs to turn the sides. Be careful with the steam and the heat. After all the sides have been charred to perfection, get them out and serve.
To bring in the smokey flavor, take a glass bowl and place two small bricks or charcoal in it. You have to keep smoking hot charcoal in the bowl.
So, first of all, use tongs and heat your Charcoal in the burner. Just as it's about to catch fire get it off the fire and gently place it in the bowl.
Top it with a dollop of Butter and use tongs to place it on the same plate, where you have kept your Kabobs.
Cover all this with a Cloche or any deep utensil and let the smoke build in for about 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, remove the cloche and your Grilled Tofu Kabobs will smokey flavors are ready.

So, this was all about Grilled Tofu Kabobs. I hope you feel in love with this. If not, give the recipe a try and I'm sure you'll fall in love with Tofu Kabobs indefinitely.
