Epic Tofu Fajitas (aka Vegetarian Fajitas)

Grilled Tofu Fajita is a super-quick and healthy recipe for dinner that gets done in a jiffy.
Making this recipe is no big deal.
All you have to do is just toss your veggies in fajita seasoning, get them on the grill, get a nice char and then assemble them in the tortillas. Serve them in the form of crispy Tofu Fajita tacos.
Easy, Peasy, and No-Fuss. 😍
Tofu is so healthy and I have made it a point to include it in my dinner as much as possible.
Tofu is gluten-free, low in calories, a rich source of protein, iron, and calcium, and contains all nine amino acids. Isn't that amazing! 🎉

Traditional Fajita Vs Healthy Tofu Fajita
When we talk about Traditional Fajita recipes, we generally think about Steak Fajitas.
And when you compare steaks with them you see that tofu has 73% fewer calories than beef.
100grams of Beef contains 277 calories, whereas 100grams of tofu contains just 76 calories.
This very fact is strong enough for me to chose Tofu fajitas over steaks fajitas.
When we talk about Protein.
Beef is a clear winner. It contains three times more protein than Tofu. But, there is a catch.
The beef comes with unwanted fat.
While Tofu has an almost negligible amount of fat.
Looking at these facts, I would choose Tofu Fajita Tacos over classic steak Fajita Tacos any day.

How to Drain Tofu without Paper Towels
I know, I've been through this.
You've got extra-firm tofu but no paper towels at home. How are you going to drain your Tofu?
Well, the answer is pretty simple. Just use a muslin cloth or a kitchen towel or a cheesecloth.
You know back in India we use a muslin cloth to drain Tofu or make Paneer (cottage cheese).
Wrap your Tofu with a kitchen towel or muslin cloth. Place it on a plate. Press it down with a cast-iron skillet or anything heavy.
Allow it to stand and release moisture for at least 30-minutes.
After about 30-45 minutes your tofu will reduce to 2/3rd of its original size and you'll have about 100ml of water.
Discard the water and use tofu right away.
