We love Kabobs. In my family, we love to make Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs, Shrimp Kabobs, and Tofu Kabobs.
Sometimes we make it a meal by serving it with a good salad, especially this Summer Potato Salad or Mexican Corn Salad Recipe with Cilantro Lime Dressing or Deli-style Creamy Classic Macaroni Salad or Creamy Cucumber Red Onion Salad with Dill and Sourcreamor Traditional Hawaiian Macaroni Salad
Whenever I make grilled Kabobs at home, my boys get so excited! They indulge in the grilling and we all end up having a great time!
We love this BBQ Chicken Kabobs with Pineapple because this is such an easy, quick, and low-carb meal. Simple but huge on flavors! Especially the glaze is so delicious and finger-licking good!!!

What is Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs?
Sweet and Sour Chicken Pineapple Kabobs are packed with amazing flavors of bbq sauce along with the crispness of the veggies, the slight sweetness of Pineapple along the grilled Chicken!
Generally, Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs have a highlight of being sweet and sour. And more than most times it's the Pineapple that accounts for that sweet and sour taste in Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs.
You can serve these with Hawaiian Macaroni Salad or just any salad you please and enjoy it with a glass of Pina Colada for ultimate summertime fun!

Skewers for Chicken Kabobs
I like to use soaked wooden skewers for Chicken Kabos as they do not heat up quickly while grilling and give enough time for the Chicken and the Veggies to get charred. You can use Stainless Skewers or other varieties as well, however, I am not sure of the results as I have never used one myself.
For using the Wooden skewers soak them in water for 30-minutes, prior to threading. This will moisten them and they won't burn up in the grill.
The BBQ and Pineapple Marinade
I like to make the marinade for these Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs a little special so I add just a little amount of Pineapple juice along with the BBQ Sauce. That actually helps bring out the BBQ flavors even stronger!
Remember to soak the chicken in this marinade for at least 2-3 hours. Don't worry the Pineapple juice won't cook the Chicken. This 2 hour-long marination time will help the Chicken soak up all the flavors of BBQ Sauce and the Pineapple juice.
That way, when you grill them, you will have crispy charred chicken on the outside but juicy and flavorful taste on the inside. They won't be dry and shall be so delicious and perfect!
Tips to make the best BBQ Pineapple Chicken Kabobs

- Do not knead too tightly - Always keep some room between the Chicken and Pineapple in the skewer. A little breathing room helps cook the Chicken and Pineapple evenly!
- You can add some crispy Bacon - Bacon makes for a great addition to these Chicken Pineapple Kabobs. For BBQ Chicken Pineapple Kabobs with Bacon, always cook the bacon just a little bit in the oven for 2-3 minutes and then knead it into the skewers. This will make sure they brown evenly and get crispy!
- Fresh or Canned Pineapples - I like to go with Fresh Pineapples for this recipe because they are firm. Also, I cut big chunks of Pineapple and then use them for these Chicken Pineapple Kabobs. Bigger chunks are always great or else the small and thin ones do not get grilled perfectly and oftentimes they get all mushy after getting grilled.
