Also, Cauliflower and Chicken make for a healthy dinner recipe.

Sweet and Sour Teriyaki Cauliflower Chicken Stir Fry

Hello friends! So, today I wanted to make something unique and different with Cauliflower and Chicken. I was set out to make a Cauliflower Chicken Casserole, but then I thought, it’ll be too boring. How about spice things up a little bit with some sweet and sour Teriyaki Cauliflower Chicken Stir Fry. You know, there is something about this end of summer and the beginning of Fall weather, that makes you feel a little under the weather. Well, I thought, what would be perfect to make this dull and grey day a special one, then making this delicious Teriyaki Cauliflower Stir Fry!

I love Asian recipes. The perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and sour is achieved in only Asian cuisine and its one of the greatest in the world. I used a lot of Soy Sauce, Rice Vinegar, Sesame Oil, Sriracha, Honey, and Garlic for my sauce. I wanted to use all of these Asian spices and ingredients so that my dish has those true-blue Asian flavors.

    Let’s talk about the Taste

This Sweet and Sour Cauliflower Chicken in Teriyaki sauce is exactly as it sounds. Its got the sweetness of the Rice Vinegar and the Honey, the kick of the garlic, and the sourness of the Lemon Juice and Soy Sauce.

Sweet and Sour Teriyaki Cauliflower Chicken Stir Fry

This is super juicy and saucy! Tastes super delicious with plain white rice or rice noodles. The sesame seeds and the sesame oil add a hint of nutty taste and texture to this recipe which reminds you of typical Asian flavors!

Making this Sweet and Sour Teriyaki Cauliflower Chicken Stir Fry

So, to make this Teriyaki Cauliflower Chicken Stir Fry, begin by marinating the chicken pieces and Cauliflower florets with a combination of sauces and spices.

First, add Soy Sauce, then add some Rice Vinegar, Some Honey, Sriracha, Tomato Ketchup, Red Chili Paste, and chopped Garlic Cloves. Also add some Lemon juice, salt and pepper to this and toss it all up together. Cover and refrigerate it for about 30 minutes, so that the Cauliflower florets and the Chicken Pieces soak up all the juices and the sauces and become tender and flavourful!

Then, heat some Sesame Oil in a skillet and added the Chicken and Cauliflower pieces. Save some of the sauce and use it for basting. You need to stir fry the Chicken and Cauliflower over high flame. Once it gets crusty, baste with some of the sauce and cover cook for 5 minutes over low flame.

Cooking the Chicken over a low flame for at least 10 minutes will make it tender and juicy. Also, keep basting at regular intervals otherwise the Chicken will become too dry.

Meanwhile, make a quick sauce which you can serve with this stir fry, if you are to serve this with rice or quinoa or noodles. So, for the sauce, combine soy sauce with rice vinegar, sriracha, honey, garlic paste, salt and pepper. Mix all of it and keep aside.

Now, after about 10-15 minutes, remove the lid and stir well.

Take it up in a Cabbage leaf and serve aside some rice or rice noodles or anything carb-y of your choice. Also, serve the sauce you made with this.
