    πŸ₯˜ Ingredients

Use a clear shot of the ingredients for this recipe, prepped, and labeled if necessary. Insert the ingredients into the list below, omitting quantities.

    • Dark Chocolate - I like to use Ghirardelli's Dark Chocolate baking brick.
    • Almonds - Use unsalted Almonds for best results
    • Sea Salt - The best thing about these Almond Clusters
    • Unsalted Butter - Helps melt Chocolate easily. Although this is an optional ingredient. You can skip this if you want to.

See recipe card for quantities. Also watch the video for a quick visual.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ How to make Slow Cooker Dark Chocolate Almond Clusters

    Instructions

STEP : DUMP ALL THE INGREDIENTS

    • Add the Almonds, Dark Chocolate, Butter in the Crockpot. Sprinkle Sea Salt over them
    • Cover and cook on low for 1 hour or on high for 30 minutes
    • Stir every 10 - 15 minutes to avoid Chocolate from sticking to the bottom of the pot and burning.

    STEP 2: FREEZE

    • After the Chocolate has melted and has combined with the Almonds, scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture onto a parchment paper lined plate.
    • Sprinkle Christmas sprinkles and some Sea Salt over these
    • Freeze the clusters for 5 minutes and allow them to set
    • Serve for Christmas parties or save for future use.

Remember to stir the Chocolate Almond Mixture every few minutes. Chocolate tends to get burnt easily. So, keep stirring at regular intervals to avoid Chocolate from getting burnt.

πŸ’¬ Hint: If the room temp. is pretty cold, you will see that the candies are freezing within minutes of scooping them. You won't need to freeze them separately. However, if its not so cold a day, I would prefer to freeze these for just about 5 minutes. Freezing will help them hold the shape and never lose it.

    πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Cooking Variations

    • Mexican Chocolate - Use flavourful Mexican Chocolate instead of Dark Chocolate. Mexican Chocolate has a little bit of spice to it because of chili and cinnamon, but tastes really good. Use Mexican Chocolate to make Mexican Chocolate Almond Clusters. πŸ˜‹
    • Milk Chocolate - If you love it sweet, then use sweet Milk Chocolate instead of Dark Chocolate.

    🧊 Storage

You can store these Chocolate Almond Clusters in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks. I do not recommend freezing these as they will lose their shape upon thawing.

πŸ’― Top tips to make Crockpot Chocolate Almond Clusters

    • As per my experience 5oz of chocolate should be enough for about 1 cup of Almonds.
    • I love to use Unsalted Butter because this makes sure that your Chocolate does not burn, even if you forget stirring often times. Butter also helps these Almond Clusters hold their shape perfectly.
    • Make sure you stir after every 10 minutes. This is the only difficult thing about making candies in a crockpot. You can set timer for 10 minutes so that you don't forget to give this chocolate almond mixture a good stir.
    • Stirring every often will make sure that the Chocolate don't burn by sticking to the bottom of the pot.
    • You can use a small ice cream scooper or a melon scooper or a tablespoon to scoop these.
    • Sea Salt really brings out the taste of Chocolate. I use some salt while making these in the crockpot and also add some after they get baked. Just a tad bit of salt goes a long way in bringing out the real flavour of chocolate. πŸ˜‹
