These Barbecue Pork Ribs with Chimichurri on top is even delicious! The slight punch and spice of Chimichurri makes the sticky and sweet BBQ Sauce taste really good. They really complement the juicy taste of Oven Baked Pork Ribs

How to make Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

STEP 1: PREP THE RIBS

  • Peel off the tough fat membrane from the underside of the bony part of the Ribs and place in a sheet pan.
  • Make a dry rub seasoning of Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Paprika, Chili Powder / Cayenne Pepper, Salt & Pepper & Olive Oil. Whisk until combined.
  • Brush this evenly over the Ribs (both sides)
  • Place the Ribs in the greased Slow Cooker.

STEP 2: MAKE THE SAUCE

  • In a mixing jar combine BBQ Sauce with Brown Sugar, Cayenne Pepper, Minced Garlic, Worcestershire sauce & Olive Oil

  • Mix the leftover juices from the Slow Cooker with the leftover Sauce from earlier
  • Pour this over the Cooked Ribs

  • As the sauce cools down over the Ribs it will get sticky!

HINT

Peel off the White membrane/skin from the underside of the bony part of the Ribs using a blunt knife or slide a fork and pull it off. Removing this skin will let the sauce and spices seep right into the Meat making them extra soft, juicy and full of flavors!

Storage

The easiest way to store cooked pork Ribs is to store them in an airtight container and then double wrap with aluminum foil. You can refrigerate cooked Pork Ribs for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

I love to use Baby Back Ribs to make pork Ribs. This is because its tender and lean with less bones This part of the rib is located at the spine region.

However you can also use Spare Ribs and Side Ribs. These are equally great and sometimes even more delicious, because its rich in fat and more fat=more flavors. Its Meatier, Bony and so Tasty!

If you are looking for Meatier Ribs, go for Country style ribs. These are found in the upper shoulder region and have the highest meat!

How long do I cook Pork Rib?

If you're cooking Pork Rib in the slow cooker, then cook on Low heat for 9 hours and then broil for 5-10 minutes.
