Generally, I serve these Double Chocolate Pancakes without the layer of Cream Cheese frosting. I just top them off with some fresh fruits and some melted dark chocolate. This goes excellent with some freshly brewed coffee and some fresh fruits.
However, since its February already and its the season of Love, I went ahead and decorated these a little bit with some Pink colored Cream Cheese Frosting and loads of Strawberries 🙂

Double Chocolate Pancakes are made with Dark Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. These Pancakes are extremely easy to make and make for a healthy morning breakfast. Chocolate Pancakes are super delicious and something which every kid is going to love to see on the breakfast table.
These Healthy Chocolate Pancakes are very quick to make. To make these Gluten Free, you can use Coconut Flour instead of All-Purpose Flour. Also, you can replace Granulated Sugar with Coconut Sugar.
Also, to make Vegan Chocolate Pancakes, replace Whole Mik with Soy Milk or Almond Milk.

These Double Chocolate Pancakes are made with Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. These are easily available and make these Double Chocolate Pancakes taste extra good. You get that intense Chocolate flavor which is just so yum!
How to make Double Chocolate Pancakes
Here's a brief description of how to make these adorable Double Chocolate Pancakes. You can find the full printable recipe below.
First - Whisk the dry ingredients - Whisk the Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, and Cocoa Powder together.
Second - Mix the Wet Ingredients - Mix the Milk, Egg, Granulated Sugar, and Vanilla Extract together and combine it with the dry ingredients until you have a smooth and lump-free Pancake batter ready.
Third - Make the Cream Cheese Frosting. Beat the Softened Cream Cheese with a drop of Pink Gel Food Color and some granulated sugar until it gets thick and creamy.
Fourth - Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the Pancakes. Pour about 1/4 cup of the Batter in the center of a pan and allow it to spread on itself. Using a flat-bottomed Pan will make sure that your Pancake has a circular shape.
Fifth - The moment you see bubbles popping out of your Pancake, flip it and fry the other side as well for 3-4 minutes. Similarly, fry all the Pancakes.
Sixth - Spread a layer of Cream Cheese frosting between each layer of your Double Chocolate Pancake. Top with Fresh Strawberries and mint leaves. Drizzle some more Cream Cheese frosting on top. Also, sprinkle some candy heart rocks on your Pancakes (This is totally optional) and serve!

- 2 cup AP Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- ½ cup Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ cup Milk
- ¾ cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Whisk the Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips and Cocoa Powder together.
- Mix the milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and egg. Stir to combine all of this wet ingredient with the dry ingredients. Make a smooth and lump-free pancake batter.
- Make Cream Cheese Frosting by beating softened Cream Cheese with granulated sugar and a drop of pink gel food color. Beat until it gets smooth and creamy.
- Heat olive oil in a pan. As the oil shimmers, pour 1/4 cup of the batter in the center of the pan and allow it to spread around the edges on itself. Cook over medium-high heat. Flip when you see bubbles. Take it out on a separate plate and keep it aside.
- Layer each pancake with cream cheese frosting.
- Top with freshly chopped Strawberries, mint leaves, and some Heart-shaped Candy rocks if making for Valentine's Day and serve!
