Sticky Thai Meatballs with Peanut Sauce is an easy Baked Chicken Meatballs recipe which is tosed in a sweet and sticky Thai Peanut Sauce and served with Jasmine Rice.

Sticky Thai Meatballs With Peanut Sauce - Thai Chicken Meatballs which are baked are served in a sweet and sticky Peanut Sauce. This recipe is surely the best Asian Meatballs recipe ever! Served over a bed of steamed Jasmine Rice, these Sticky Thai Meatballs are a great dinner recipe. You can also make this in the Slow Cooker.

Sticky Thai Meatballs

The sunny days are here and it's time for some quick and easy meals which we can make in no time and are a favorite.

When You think Meatballs, you automatically refrain from it, thinking it's going to be time taking and a long recipe.  However, if I tell you that you can make these Thai Meatballs in under 30-minutes! Well yes. These are absolutely easy and so delicious.

Making Thai Meatballs Recipe at home is surely so much fun. It's not only easy but it's so so so delicious! I just love Thai food and Thai flavors are something which I cannot deny be it any time of the year.

Thai Chicken Meatballs

These Thai Meatballs are made with Ground Chicken. However, you can easily replace Ground Chicken with Ground Beef or Ground Turkey, or Ground Pork.

These Thai Chicken Meatballs are super delicious and easy to make.

The Sticky Peanut Sauce

I think whenever I think about Thai Food, Peanut flavors dominate my mind. And this Sticky Peanut Sauce is something that is my absolute favorite. I love it with anything Thai. This compliments the Meatballs wonderfully and is super easy to make! It has got a sweet and nutty taste to it because of Coconut Milk and Peanut Butter!

Ingredients needed to make Thai Chicken Meatballs

For the Meatballs

  • Ground Chicken - You can replace Ground Chicken with Ground Beef/Pork/Turkey
  • Panko Breadcrumbs - To bind the meatballs
  • Egg - To give the meatballs a structure
  • Dark Soy Sauce - For that great salty taste
  • Ginger - for flavors
  • Garlic - for flavors
  • Thai Green Curry Paste - For that typical Thai food taste
  • Salt - to season
  • Cornstarch - To bring everything together

Peanut Sauce

  • Dark Soy Sauce
  • Peanut Butter
  • Fish Sauce
  • Rice Vinegar
  • Sweet Chili Sauce
  • Honey
  • Sriracha
  • Coconut Milk 

How to make Thai Chicken Meatballs

STEP 1: Make the Thai Chicken Meatballs

  • Combine all the Meatballs ingredients

  • Dust your hands lightly with flour and roll the meatballs
  • Place in a greased baking dish

  • Bake @420F or 220C for 22 minutes.

STEP 2: Make the Peanut Sauce

  • In a mixing jar, combine all the sauce ingredients

  • Pour it in a skillet
  • Simmer over low heat and whisk until the Peanut Butter melts
  • Simmer for 2 minutes or until the sauce thickens and gets sticky.

STEP 3: Garnish and Serve

  • Toss the Baked Thai Chicken Meatballs with the sticky sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped Green Onions and serve with Steamed Jasmine rice.

Other possible variations and substitutions

  • Replace Fish Sauce with Soy Sauce or Tamari
  • You can deep fry the Meatballs. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the Meatballs until crispy
  • You can air fry the Meatballs as well. Air fryer Meatballs are gorgeously crispy and taste just as good.
  • You can Bake the Meatballs in the oven and then make the sauce in the slow cooker and throw in the baked meatballs. Serve it hot.

Make ahead options

Yes absolutely. You can make the Meatballs and store them in an air-tight container in the freezer for up to 3 weeks. Just place them directly in the oven and bake for 5-7 more minutes.

You can even make the Peanut sauce in advance and store it in an air-tight jar in the refrigerator. You can store this Thai Peanut Sauce for over a year. You can use it for Rice, Noodles, as a Dipping Sauce, or to glaze over Baked Chicken or Meatballs as in this case.

INGREDIENTS

FOR THAI MEATBALLS

  • 1 Lbs Ground Chicken
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Chopped ginger 1/2 inch long
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Thai Green Curry Paste or Lemongrass Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt½
  • ½ cup Cornstarch

FOR THE STICKY PEANUT SAUCE

  • 1 tablespoon Dark Soy Sauce
  • 3 tablespoon Creamy Peanut Butter
  • ½ teaspoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • ½ cup Coconut Milk

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Combine all the Meatballs ingredients in a bowl. Lightly flour your hands and roll 1 tablespoon size of the mixture into Balls. Place them on a greased baking dish. Bake @420F or 220C for 20-22 minutes.

  • In a mixing jar combine all the sauce ingredients. Pour this in a skillet. Simmer over low heat and whisk until the Peanut butter melts. Allow the sauce to simmer over low heat for 2-minutes or until the sauce thickens and gets sticky.
