Chicken Ricotta Meatballs

Chicken Ricotta Meatballs are light, easy, healthy and a perfect low carb dinner recipe which the whole family will love for sure. Its lighter than its beefy counterpart and require a very little amount of prep into making them. Also I have served them with a homemade Fire Roasted Tomato and Bell Pepper Sauce which makes it super delicious and yummy.

These healthy Chicken Ricotta Meatballs are super easy and a perfect addition to your weeknight dinner menu.

These Healthy Chicken Ricotta Meatballs go great with Spaghetti or Baked Rigatoni or any Pasta of your choice. You can even serve them with Mashed Potatoes or Mashed Cauliflower (for a lighter version). You can toss them with any sauce of your choice like Buffalo Sauce or even make Swedish Meatballs with them with a cream based sauce.

How to make These Chicken Meatballs?

Its actually really easy to make these Chicken Meatballs. I have used Chicken mince to make these. You can replace Ground Chicken here with Ground Turkey as well.

All you have to do is just add the ground chicken in a large mixing bowl, along with all the other ingredients - Eggs, Panko Breadcrumbs, Ricotta Cheese, Italian Seasoning, Red Pepper Flakes, Garlic powder, Salt and Pepper.

Roll them to about 9-inch sized balls.

Now cooking them you have three options:

Baked Chicken Ricotta Meatballs

Place the rolled Chicken Ricotta Meatballs in a lined baking dish. Bake them @400F or 200C for 20-25 minutes.

Air Fried Chicken Ricotta Meatballs

You can even cook these meatballs in the air fryer. Just cook them @350F or 180C for 10 min (each side)

Can I meal prep Chicken Meatballs?

Yes ofcourse? Chicken Ricotta Meatballs makes for an excellent meal prep dinner recipe. You can roll the Meatballs and store them in the freezer in a ziplock bag. Remember to thaw them overnight before using.

What to serve with Chicken Ricotta Meatballs?

Just like any Meatballs you can serve them without the sauce and as is in the form of a sandwich. However if you do go ahead and make the sauce, you can serve Chicken Ricotta Meatballs with Spaghetti or Pasta of your choice or rice.

You can even serve these Chicken Ricotta Meatballs aside of a crunchy and healthy salad as a quick and easy lunch recipe.

You can even serve this in the form of a soup with some rice or orzo.

Can I use Ground Turkey instead of Ground Chicken?

Yes of course, you can replace Ground Chicken here with Ground Turkey or Ground Beef.

Can I use store bought sauce?

Yes of course, you can use any store bought sauce like Alfredo Sauce or Roasted Red Pepper Sauce or Fire Roasted Tomato Sauce for this recipe. You can also use homemade Alfredo Sauce or Romesco Sauce as well.
