Indian Spiced Spinach Chicken - a quick Chicken Dinner Recipe made using Indian spices and spinach takes just 45-minutes to make and is totally worth it.

If you are looking for a recipe that literally works like magic for the whole family, then this is the one that you should go with.
My kids and my husband loved it. They were like - It's so unique you should also try it with Paneer sometime. Well, honestly, we do make paneer with spinach a lot of times. But, this recipe was totally out of the world.
I remember how I tried Spinach with Chicken is one of the Indian restaurant's long back. What they had done was wrap this same spinach chicken with a fried egg. I loved it then. And I still love it now.

But, that is a dish that you can enjoy with naan bread but not necessarily basmati rice or jasmine rice. When I look back at that dish today, I hate the fact that they had made a puree out of spinach.
I mean, yeah! You can totally do that. But, there are so many flavors in it. Why would you want to make a paste out of it? They go so beautifully with chicken and some tomatoes. Therefore, I never make a puree of spinach while making this chicken recipe.
Is it too Spicy?

No. This is rather creamy with a sweet undertone. There is a general conception that Indian food is spicy. Well, not this one. This is very creamy and sweet.

The secret to the Best Indian Spiced Spinach Chicken

Well, this Indian recipe might be new to you. But, I am here to help you. When you make this, I want you to enjoy this just like the way, we Indians do. Serve it with some fragrant long-grain Indian basmati rice. The ingredients are pretty standard but, there are few tips that will make you take your Indian Curried Spinach Chicken from just ok to wow! that's something.
- The Cream - Cream is extremely important because it cuts out the bitterness of spinach and balances out the spiciness of the Indian spices.
- Garlic & Ground Cumin - These two ingredients are one of those ingredients that works like a magic with spinach. Especially when you are making an Indian curry.
- DO NOT overcook the Spinach - Overcooking the spinach will make it bitter. So, you should never ever overcook your spinach.
- Ghee or Butter - If you got ghee or butter then please DO use it. Both of them, especially ghee will bring a true blue authentic Indian taste to your chicken dish. I have skipped this and used vegetable oil instead to cut down on the carbs.
- Curry powder - Commonly found in almost all US General stores is the perfect replacement for Ground Coriander (commonly used in North Indian recipes)
