Banana Mousse Tarts is a tasty Banana Dessert recipe, where the Tart mold is made in the Muffin Tin and is filled with Banana Mousse. Make this delicious Banana recipe because it's just so easy and looks so cute.
Hey! So, today, I made Tarts 🙂 This was my first attempt at making Tarts and I think I did a pretty good job making these. The Tarts are made without Eggs or Butter. Someone rightly said that necessity is the mother of invention! I wanted to make Tarts and I had neither Eggs or Butter at home. Well, it turns out they are not at all important for making Tarts! Yeah. I made my Tarts using vegetable oil, brown sugar, and flour. Sounds so humble and simple right 🙂 You do not even have to get one extra ingredient from the market and you can make these Tarts easily at home.
Tarts are ideally made using Butter, Granulated Sugar, Eggs, and Flour. However, my Eggless Tarts are made using Oil, Brown Sugar, Flour, Vanilla Essence, and Yogurt. And these tasted so good. They are nice and crumbly and hold the Banana Mousse perfectly.
Baking is so much fun guys! I find it really cathartic to bake a so-called difficult recipe in my own sweet way and share it with you guys. So, what if everyone complicates it, I am here to uncomplicate every recipe for you 🙂
The Banana Mousse is so easy that I even feel silly to describe the recipe. I made the Mousse with 2 ripe bananas, some heavy cream, and some honey. Just throw everything in a bowl and use a handheld mixer or stand mixer to mix everything into a smooth and creamy Mousse. And voila! it's done. Isn't it just so easy 🙂
I wanted to keep this recipe really simple and uncomplicated. Sometimes, you do not like complicated fusion flavors. I wanted that pure Banana flavor to my mousse so I mixed nothing else.
If you want then you can mix chocolate and make Banana Chocolate Mousse. You can also add some more sugar if you feel that it's not right.
However, I don't think you'll need anything. Banana in itself has an honest sweetness to it, which when combines with honey tastes so good.
Let's make Banana Mousse Tarts
The First step is to make the Tart shells. For this as I told you, just mix some oil with brown sugar. You can use a handheld mixer or stand mixer to mix these two together for at least 3 minutes.
Now, to this add the flour and mix using your spoon. Also, add the Yogurt and Vanilla Essence and mix everything together using a spoon.
Finally, just use your hand to make a soft dough. Chill the dough for about an hour.
Flour your surface and roll out the dough. Use a cookie cutter or anything you have to cut out circles. Pick up these circles carefully and place them in the Muffin tin. Use the back of a glass to push in the circle into the Muffin tin.
Use a fork to make small holes in the bottom of the shells. This is very essential as this will allow even baking of your Tart shells.
Finally, bake your Tart shells for 20 minutes at 180 C or 350 F. Allow them to cool down before you get them out.
If you have Tart shells, then just place the circles into the molds and bake for 15-20 minutes.
The next step is making the Banana Mousse.
Take two Ripe bananas and mix well using a fork. To it add the heavy cream and honey. Mix well using a handheld mixer. Make a smooth and creamy Mousse.
Spoon the Mousse into the Tart shells and put it in the freezer for at least an hour. Top it with some cherries before you serve. 🙂
How to make Eggless Tart Shells?
Tart Shells can easily be made without Eggs. All you need is vegetable oil, brown sugar, and flour. Mix everything together and make a soft dough. Add some Yogurt and Vanilla Essence and make a soft dough. Chill the dough for at least an hour before you roll it and cut out small circles. You can use a cookie cutter, glass, or Tart shells to cut out circles from your rolled dough. Place your tart shells in a greased muffin tin for 20 minutes at 180 C or 350 F.
If you have Tart molds then, Use it to cut out the shapes and line your mold with the dough.
If you have Pasty dough at home or you can get it from nearby stores then you do not need to make a dough. Just cut it out and line your tart molds with it.
Banana Mousse
Banana Mousse is one of the easiest Banana dessert recipe ever. Just make a smoothie of ripe banans with some honey and heavy cream. Mix everything together until well combined using a handheld mixer or stand mixer.
Now you can add more flavors to it. You can add Yogurt if you want to make it a little sour. You can add some melted chocolate in it if you want a Chocolate Banana Mousse.
Mousse makes for a wholesome dessert in itself. While the traditional Chocolate Mousse recipe requires mixing the Egg whites with granulated sugar and then that is mixed with melted chocolate and whipped heavy cream.
This is an easier version. You can add Egg whites if you wish to but, honestly, that's just not required. This Mousse in itself tastes really good!
So, that's how you can make Banana Mousse Tarts. Isn't it really easy. Told ya 🙂
