The best part about this healthy Almond flour bagel is that, I have used my Homemade Bagel Seasoning to make this recipe.

I always prefer homemade seasonings for most of my recipes. That way, I am in more control of the taste of my recipe.

I don't have any hidden ingredients, and everything I add is thoroughly based on my cooking experience and that intuition of taste.

How to make almond flour bagels in just 3 steps!

  • Step 1: Make Almond Flour and Greek Yogurt Dough

Combine almond flour, greek yogurt, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Knead the dough until soft. Make sure your hands are lightly floured.

Alternatively, you can use your stand mixer fitted with a dough hook attachment to knead your almond flour and bagel dough.

  • Step 2: Shape the bagels

When the dough is ready, eyeball it and divide the almond flour bagel dough into eight equal pieces. (doesn’t need to be perfect!)

Shape each piece into a ball. Use your index finger to press through the center of each ball. Make a hole of about 1.5 – 2 inches in diameter.

Use a pastry brush to brush the egg wash on top and around the sides of each bagel. Also, brush egg wash on the bottom of each bagel to ensure they come out golden brown on each side. Place four bagels onto each lined baking sheet.

  • Step 3: Bake for 15-20 minutes

Bake the bagels in a preheated oven at 425 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until dark golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow the bagels to cool down on the baking sheet for at least 20 minutes.

Then, transfer them to a wire rack to let them cool completely.

Top with my favorite Homemade Everything Bagel Seasoning and serve with some cream cheese.

SO salty! Otherwise the recipe worked well. Next time I’m going to try 1 teaspoon salt instead of 2

I really like these. So easy and quick. I did not have enough almond flour so I added tapioca flour which I had on hand. And I didn’t realize my Greek yogurt was vanilla flavored and it worked fine. I did not add salt. just a touch of pepper, I’m really enjoying them. I forgot to add the bagel seasoning. I think I may have added that prior to taking out of the oven so that it would stick. Thanks for the recipe.

I tried a different recipe this time but will pin THIS recipe for next time.
The recipe I tried called for cottage cheese. However I think I should have strained through cheese cloth. The dough was VERY wet.
    I added additional flour so we'll see🤔

Yep, cottage cheese can do that if it’s not strained. Extra flour was a smart fix! Hope it still bakes up great 🙂
