In fact, this Sticky Asian Hoisin Chicken Drumsticks is something totally different and unique. It's a perfect combination of General Tso's Chicken and Orange Chicken.

The Sticky Sauce here is perfect, sweet, spicy, and tangy. In fact, the tanginess of Orange Juice balances out the intense sweetness of Hoisin Sauce and Brown Sugar.
Brown Sugar also makes the sauce sticky after it gets baked.
The sticky sauce coats over the Chicken Drumsticks very well and you have perfectly tender and juicy baked Chicken Drumsticks with a sticky Asian glaze over them!
Ingredients needed to make Sticky Asian Hoisin Chicken Drumsticks
- 4 medium-sized Chicken Drumsticks
- 2 medium-sized Red Onions diced
- 1 medium-sized Bell Pepper diced
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 cup Carrots finely chopped
- 5 large Serrano Peppers deseeded and chopped
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
For the Sticky Sauce
- 4 teaspoon Hoisin Sauce
- ½ cup Orange Juice
- ¼ cup Dark Soy Sauce
- ½ cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt & Pepper
Garnish
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
- Green Onions (finely chopped) optional
How to make Sticky Asian Hoisin Chicken Drumsticks
Saute the Veggies

- Heat 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil in a Pan.
- As the sesame oil shimmers add the chopped Onions, minced Garlic, Bell Peppers, Carrots, and Serrano Peppers.
- Saute just until the veggies tenderizes.
Make the Sauce

- Add all the sauce ingredients to a bowl and whisk until combined.
- Add the Drumsticks and the sauce to a ziplock bag. Shake to coat the Chicken with the Sauce
- Place these Drumsticks in a baking dish. Add cooking spray over the Drumsticks.
- Bake @ 350°F OR 180°C for 15 minutes.

- Toss after 15 minutes and cook for another 15 minutes.
- Add the remaining sauce after 15 minutes over the Chicken Drumsticks.
- Use a meat thermometer and check if it reads 165°F or 78°C. Cook until the chicken gets cooked through.
Serve
- Serve the Baked Chicken Drumsticks over crunchy Veggies and Orange slices.
- Add the leftover sauce and serve with Sesame Seeds and chopped Green Onions on top.
- Enjoy!

You can prep for this recipe ahead of time. You can make the sauce and refrigerate it for 1 week.
Before you make it, just drizzle over the Drumsticks and bake until the Chicken Legs gets baked and the sauce gets sticky on top.
You can also make this entire recipe.
Cool it down to room temperature and then wrap it up with a plastic wrap and then again with aluminum foil and then freeze it.
You can freeze these Chicken Drumsticks for 3 weeks. Just thaw in the refrigerator overnight and heat in the microwave until heated through before serving.
