👩🍳 How to make Easy Halloween Monster Eyes Brownies (Step by Step Guide)
STEP 1: MELT CHOCOLATE WITH BUTTER
- Pour melted unsalted butter over dark chocolate bricks
- Microwave on high for 30 secinds
- Whisk until smooth and lump free

STEP 2: ADD THE DRY INGREDIENTS
- Add the Brown Sugar, Eggs, Vanilla Extract, Kosher Salt and Cocoa Powder
- Fold all of these into the melted chocolate using a rubber spatula
STEP 3: SIEVE THE DRY INGREDIENTS
- Now, just sieve the flour and baking powder into this wet mixture
- Fold just until combined using a rubber or wooden spatula
- Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
STEP 4: BAKE
- Bake @ 350 F or 180C for 30 min
- After the brownies gets baked allow them to cool down for 10 min.
STEP 5: DECORATE THE BROWNIES
- Cut the brownies into even sized squares
- Use a fork to dip the brownies in melted chocolate
- Place them on a wire rack kept on a parchment paper
- Decorate the brownies with candy eyes and halloween sprinklers
- Serve.
Remember to cool down the brownies before you cut them or they would not cut into perfect squares. You could also use a square shaped cookie cutter for ease of cutting and perfect shapes.
Hint: If the remaining dark chocolate which you are using to frost the brownies harden by the time you are next using them, then just microwave for 10-20 seconds on full power and whisk until combined.
If it's not enough, then you can add some more chocolate chips and a stick of butter to it and microwave for just 30 seconds. Whisk until it gets lump free and smooth.
Remember that do not microwave chocolate for more that 30 seconds at any given time or it will start to cook and form lumps.
🧊 Can I make these Ahead of time?
Yes Of Course! Make these brownies and double wrap with foil and plastic wrap and freeze. Just pull these brownies out of the freezer 30 min or 1 hour before serving!
Or, you can freeze individual brownies. You can make these brownies, and once the chocolate frosting over the brownies harden, wrap them individually with foil and then again with plastic wrap and store in the freezer in an airtight box.
Storing individual brownies are always a great option, because that way, you can only reheat the ones you need and save the rest for future
You can freeze these brownies for upto 3 months. Thaw them overnight in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven before serving. (if required)
It's always a great idea to make these Halloween Brownies ahead of time. Because I get the rush! It's almost next to impossible to bake anything especially on Halloween night or even the day before. The struggle to choose the best halloween costume is real! I get it. So it's always great to make these Halloween treats ahead of time and serve in your Halloween Parties.
