A VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR YOU 🙂

Let's Have Mango Banana Smoothie with Oats for Breakfast

Mangoes are in season. And I have to tell you how much I had been waiting for the mangoes. Finally, I saw the markets being flooded with ripe, orangy, juicy mangoes. I had to grab them right away. And, so I did. This is my first Mango recipe for this season. And, I am so sure that there are so many more recipes that I am gonna share with you all.

Mangoes have that innate ability to put a smile on your face. When I was a kid I had planted a Mango tree in my garden. I am sure it has gotten huge now. I can’t tell because I have left that home and not visited it for about 20 years.

But, the weird coincidence is that when I went to my new home there was already a huge mango tree in my backyard. I vividly remember how small green mangoes would fall from the tree during the month of March. And, then in the month of May, June, July whenever there used to be rain or a storm my backyard used to be flooded with ripe and juicy mangoes. But, the sad part is that I don’t live there anymore. Now, the only way I can re-create those happy mangoey memories is by heading to the fruit market and buying lots and lots of fresh, fruity ripe mangoes.

    Let’s Talk about the Ingredients:

This recipe uses five ingredients which are as follows:

Mangoes – Of course, this is a Mango smoothie so you got to have lots and lots of mangoes in it. Moreover, it would make your smoothie rich in some mango-goodness.

Bananas  - Just like mangoes, Bananas are an important part of this smoothie. Bananas bring in a filling-ness, a sort of thickness in our smoothies. Bananas also make the smoothie kind of sweet. So there is no need to add any other sweeteners such as sugar or honey or maple syrup.

Oats – I have used quick oats because here we aren’t baking anything. And I think most of us have oats in our homes. Oats works in a similar manner just like bananas. It makes our smoothie thicker and healthier.

Vanilla Essence – The sole purpose of adding Vanilla essence is in making the smoothie quite fragrant. I really love the combination of bananas along with vanilla essence. It gives a sweetish sort of smell that makes anything taste incredible.

Milk – I have used whole milk for this recipe. Milk adds in a little creaminess to our smoothie. You can also use Almond Milk if you feel that whole milk is unhealthy for you.

[Optional] – Almonds – Adding some chopped almonds, at last, would give a nutty texture to our smoothie. You see I am a person who always looks for some kind of bite in my recipes. With so much fruity flavors it is a good idea to add some almonds just as to increase the nuttiness of the smoothie. And, if you try this recipe you will surely agree that almonds and bananas make a great combination.
