Vegetable Chow Mein is a quick and easy dinner recipe. This gets ready in just 30-minutes. Chow Mein noodles are tossed in a sweet and sour sauce and veggies and served. This is a vegan Chow Mein recipe.
In a mixing jar, combine Sesame Oil with Light Soy Sauce, Rice Vinegar, Tomato Ketchup, Hoisin Sauce, Granulated Sugar, and Ground Pepper. Also, add Cornstarch slurry by combining 1 tablespoon of Cornstarch with 2 tablespoon of water and pour it into the sauce mixture. Stir until combined.
Cook Chow Mein noodles as per package directions. Or Bring a pot of water to boil with some salt & olive oil. As the water boils, add the noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes or until al dente. Drain the water using a colander and keep it aside.
Heat Sesame Oil in a Pan. As the oil shimmers, add the onions and fry until translucent. Next, add the garlic and toss for 1 minute. Next, add all the other chopped veggies and toss for 2-3 minutes or until the veggies tenderize.
Next, add the cooked noodles to the veggies
Pour the Sauce over the Noodles. Also, pour some water. Toss to combine everything.
Serve Immediately.
