I just love this simple and easy Taco Salad with Ground Beef. Its a super simple Summer lunch and dinner recipe. I love to make it on sultry summer evenings.

What is Taco Salad?
Taco Salad is simply a deconstructed Taco in a bowl. It's so easy to make. Its devoid of Taco shells so its low carb and gluten free.
All you need to do is cook Ground Beef until browned with Taco seasoning and then just assemble in a bowl with your favorite Taco Toppings.
Is Taco Salad healthy?
Yes! Taco Salad is absolutely healthy. I use lean ground beef to make this Taco Salad which is so good. This is one of the easiest ground beef salad which gets ready in just 20 min.
Taco Salad Ingredients
- Ground Beef - you can use ground Turkey or Ground Chicken
- Avocado Oil - to brown the ground Beef
- Taco Seasoning - use this homemade recipe for Taco seasoning. Its so easy to make
- Red Onions - adds a nice sweetness and crunch to this salad
- Cherry Tomatoes - easy to use
- Avocado - sliced Avocados makes a great addition to this Taco Salad. You can also add Guacamole
- Romaine Lettuce - greens for the base of the Taco Salad

How to make Taco Salad
Heat Avocado Oil in a skillet. As the oil shimmers, add Ground Beef and cook until it browns for 3-4 min.
Season with Taco Seasoning and toss to combine. Cook for 2 min and set aside.
Arrange all the ingredients in a bowl.
Garnish with Lime Juice, Chopped Cilantro and a dollop of Sour Cream
Serve!
Hint: The best thing about this Taco Salad is that its easily customisable. You can use any veggies you have at home. Make a slaw with cabbage and mayonnaise or add Pico De Gallo or Salsa of your choice to this Taco Salad.

Storage
Refrigerate - if you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Remember to separate out the toppings and keep the Ground Beef mixture separately.
Add Avocados, Sour Cream and other toppings at last as they are best added fresh.
Reheat - You can reheat the Ground Beef mixture in a skillet until heated through and serve.

Taco Salad
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 2 tablespoon Avocado Oil
- 2 tablespoon Taco Seasoning
- 1 medium sized Avocado sliced
- 4 cups Romaine Lettuce chopped
- 2 medium sized Red Onions thinly sliced
- 2 cups Cherry Tomatoes sliced
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
- ¼ cup Sour Cream
- ¼ cup Black Olives sliced
- Lemon Juice & Finely chopped Cilantro for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add Avocado Oil to it. As the oil shimmers, add the Ground Beef and cook for 3-4 min or until it browns. Season with Taco seasoning. Cook until it gets fragrant for 2 min. Set aside.
- Add all the other ingredients in a bowl. Add the meat mixture followed by Red Onions, Tomatoes, Black Olives, Cheddar Cheese. Top with a dollop of sour cream.
- Garnish with a generous squirt of lemon juice and chopped cilantro on top. Serve.
