Pomegranate Orange Salad

Pomegranate Orange Salad is one of my favorite fruit salad recipes. The best part about this is the aroma. Trust me, before you take a spoonful of this salad, just smell it once. You'll feel like you are in a summer garden! The freshness of the Mint and the Citrus aroma of Orange plus the Cinnamon and Honey, it all feels so zesty, sublime, and refreshing!

I have also added some red onions which are soaked in white vinegar. Did you know, that when you soak Red Onions in Vinegar, your onions become so much more flavorful. They become perfect for salad use and gets even sweeter. These onions make this salad excellent.

Also, I have added some chopped Almonds which gives a nice Almond bite amidst all the fruity goodness. 🙂

Today, it's a nice and warm Spring day here. It's starting to get warmer by day, the leaves have started to get greener and the birds keep on visiting every often. It's really a beautiful time of the year now. I so love this season.

I am thinking of planting an Orange tree in my garden this season. Also, I'll plant it in a pot so that, I can keep it in my Porch. I love Orange Trees. If you are a regular reader of Recipe Magik, you'll know how much I love gardening. This is what I love apart from Cooking and Painting 🙂

This Summer I am thinking of planting a Pomegranate Plant and an Orange Plant in my Garden. I am sure they'll grow up pretty soon and shall be so much fun to hang out with them!

Today, I was able to get my hands on fresh Clementine Oranges and some Red Pomegranates.  I was so happy that I already started thinking of recipes with these two. From Orange Pomegranate Muffins to an Orange Pomegranate Salad, it's so much fun to cook with these two fruits. Both are so juicy and have the perfect combination of sweet and sourness, which makes any recipe so colorful. I even love to cook Chicken with these two.

Pomegranate is a superfruit - I mean of course healthwise it's filled with Iron and is so good for anyone who gets Anaemic. But tastewise, these seeds are really a superfruit! From using them for salads to snacks to cakes to loaves, it looks so colorful and gives that perfect bite of sweetness. Also, you can dry these seeds and grind them to a powder. The Pomegranate seeds powder is so flavorful. It's very commonly used in Asian, Indian and Arabic Dishes. Especially, Persian Chicken is cooked with Pomegranate and Walnuts - it tastes so good!

here are the steps for this salad

First, we will have to make the dressing. The dressing for this salad is made with Orange Juice, Lime Juice, Orange Zest, Honey, Olive Oil, Sweet Paprika, Salt, and Pepper. This is a really flavorful combination and will make your salad so tasty and refreshing!

Next to make the salad, mix the chopped Oranges with Pomegranate seeds. Add the onions only from the vinegar and also add the chopped Almonds.

Finally, add the dressing on the salad and mix everything well. Top with some ground Cinnamon and Fresh Mint Leaves.

So, that's how you can easily make this Pomegranate Orange Salad at home. It's really easy and so refreshing and healthy!
