Pineapple Chili Sauce is one of the most delicious Thai/Asian inspired sauce which you must have in your kitchen. Sweet, Spicy, and just a wee bit tangy this Pineapple Chili Sauce works in handy whether you are making grilled recipes, making tacos, making rice or pasta, or simply sautéing vegetables.

You can also serve this with dumplings or spring rolls. And, that's not it. You can even serve it as a dressing on your Salads.

Pineapple Chili Sauce goes best with Fish, Chicken, and Vegetables. It has a sweet and tangy taste which uplifts your dish and improves the texture considerably.

You can even use it with Egg rolls, Sushi and also as a dipping sauce.

I have become a huge fan of this sauce. Just add it in the last minute and your recipe becomes lipsmackingly delicious.

A friend of mine mentioned me about this sauce while we were shopping together at Costco few years back. I got it home and since then I have LOVED it. Even more than Japanese Steakhouse Style Yum Yum Sauce.

You know as a home cook I wanted to make this recipe and keep it in my kitchen rather than purchasing it regularly.

So, I began trying. And, in just few attempts I was actually able to replicate the taste. Yay!

Ingredients for Pineapple Sweet Chili Sauce

    • Diced Pineapples
    • Birds Eye Chilies
    • Lemon Juice
    • Garlic cloves
    • Pineapple Juice
    • Brown Sugar
    • A tiny pinch of salt
    • Cornstarch + water

How to Make Pineapple Chili Sauce

    Step 1: Puree the Ingredients

In a high speed blender combine diced pineapples, birds eye chilies, garlic cloves, pineapple juice, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and water in a food processor.

    Step 2: Simmer

Simmer the sauce with some water in a sauté pan for 2-3 minutes. Reduce the heat to simmer.

Step 3: Mix with Cornstarch and stir

Finally mix with cornstarch and water. Stir well until there are no lumps.

This recipe for Sweet chili Pineapple Sauce is so easy that you would not need anything but just some Pineapples to make this.

I am sure the other ingredients are pantry staple ingredients and you are bound to have that in your home.

    How to Store this Sauce

Storing this sauce is super easy. Store this in a glass mason jar. You can store it for approximately 2-3 months in the refrigerator.

I don't recommend storing this in the freezer.
