Sweet, Creamy, Buttery and Delicious Corn cooked in a skillet is just delightful!!!

I love to serve this Honey Butter Skillet Corn hot while the butter and cream cheese are still melting into the corn! Gosh! so good!

HONEY BUTTER SKILLET CORN

Corn is one such ingredient which I love to use every often. Not only is Corn healthy but it makes for so many easy and hearty recipes as well.

Be it my Sweet Corn Casserole or Spicy Hot Creamed Corn with Crispy Chicken or Southern Fried Corn or Southern Creamed Corn or Easy Cheesy Corn Fritters OR

even these corn salads like Broccoli Corn Salad or Ranch Cheddar Corn or Grilled Corn Mango Salsa or Corn Empanadas or Black Bean and Corn Tacos

This simple Honey Butter Skillet Corn is a family favorite recipe. My husband especially loves Corn cooked this way.

Although for my kids I generally make Honey Butter Skillet Corn without cream cheese as they do not like cream cheese. That too is such a wonderful version of this Honey Butter Skillet Corn recipe. You can find the recipe for it below.

Ingredients needed for Skillet Corn

  • Butter - I use salted butter for this recipe. However to control the amount of salt you can use unsalted butter. (You can replace butter with bacon fat drippings or shortening for more flavors)
  • Canned Corn - You can use frozen corn or fresh corn ears, as well
  • Cream Cheese - I love skillet corn with cream cheese as it makes it taste so creamy and hearty
  • Honey - adds a bit of sweetness to this skillet corn
  • Italian Seasoning - I love to add this because it tastes really good in this dish
  • Salt and Pepper - to season the honey butter skillet corn

How to make Honey Butter Skillet Corn

This super simple and delicious Honey Butter Skillet Corn recipe takes just 15 min to make from scratch.

Use a cast iron skillet. Heat it over medium high heat. Melt butter and honey in it.

Once the butter melts, add the corn and cook for 7-8 min over medium high heat. (Stir occasionally, until it gets cooked through)

Add chopped cream cheese, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Toss to combine. Cook for 4-5 min

  • Bacon fat or duck fat - instead of butter, use bacon fat or duck fat to cook the corn in the skillet. It gives it a tonne of flavors making it so delicious!
  • Vegan - use vegan butter and make a roux using almond milk and vegan butter and use any vegan sweetener to make a vegan Honey Butter Skillet Corn.

Slow Cooker Honey Butter Corn

YES! Its so easy to make this Honey Butter Skillet Corn in the slow cooker. NO COOKING REQUIRED. All you need to do is dump everything in the slow cooker, toss to combine. Cover and slow cook on low heat for 1-2 hours.

Stir until combined and set in keep warm setting until you serve it.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 15oz Canned Corn or 1 bag of 16oz frozen corn
  • 4 tablespoon Butter salted
  • 2 oz Cream Cheese
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • freshly chopped Parsley for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add the cubed butter and honey and allow them to melt.
  • Once melted, now add the canned (or frozen) corn, and cook for 7-8 min, stirring occasionally until it gets cooked through
  • Next add the cubed cream cheese along with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Stir and allow it to cook for 4-5 min until the cream cheese melts and gets creamy.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
