Easy Honey Butter Skillet Corn recipe is a perfect 15-min side dish recipe which is so delicious! Canned Corn, Honey, Butter, Cream Cheese & Italian seasoning makes for a winning combination to make this one of the best corn recipes ever!
Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add the cubed butter and honey and allow them to melt.
Once melted, now add the canned (or frozen) corn, and cook for 7-8 min, stirring occasionally until it gets cooked through
Next add the cubed cream cheese along with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Stir and allow it to cook for 4-5 min until the cream cheese melts and gets creamy.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Bacon fat or duck fat - instead of butter, use bacon fat or duck fat to cook the corn in the skillet. It gives it a tonne of flavors making it so delicious!Vegan - use vegan butter and make a roux using almond milk and vegan butter and use any vegan sweetener to make a vegan Honey Butter Skillet Corn.You can use frozen corn or even fresh corn ears for this recipe! All the instructions remain the same.Make sure you cut the cream cheese into cubes and then add to the corn so that it melts perfectly and quickly
VARIATIONS:
Spicy - to make hot Honey butter Skillet Corn, you can add some hot sauce while cooking the corn, along with cream cheese cubes
roux - if you're making Honey Butter Skillet corn without cream cheese, but you still want it creamy, then first make a roux with butter, flour and milk. And once it turns creamy, add the corn along with salt, pepper & Italian seasoning.
STORAGE & MAKE AHEAD
Honey Butter skillet corn can easily be made ahead of time and refrigerated for about a week in an airtight container. Reheat in the microwave OR in a skillet, until heated through right before serving.REFRIGERATE: You can store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
