Easy Healthy Carrot Cake Recipe

Its the Spring and Easter season and the perfect time to make Carrot Cake. I just love a classic Carrot Cake.

In fact I love to make it in a very traditional way where I make the Classic Carrot Pineapple Cake. Its a very typical southern traditional cake which is so perfect for Easter.

However, while every once in a while its nice to have it, but its loaded with sugar, lots of unhealthy carbs and unhealthy fats.

Well, just a few swaps and you can make this Healthy Carrot Cake recipe and trust me it tastes just the same.

What makes this Carrot Cake Healthy?

  • This Carrot cake recipe is made using rolled oats flour. So its free of refined flour which makes it naturally gluten free and healthy
  • This Healthy Carrot Cake recipe uses no refined sugar for sweetness. I have used Honey to make it.
  • The Frosting is made with healthy high protein whipped greek yogurt and not cream cheese! This makes it your perfect feel good, pick me up dessert, without a doubt.

What does Healthy Carrot Cake tastes like?

This Healthy Carrot Cake tastes exactly like a traditional carrot cake. Its moist, soft, fluffy and since its made with Oats flour, its got a nice oatmeal snack cake taste to it.

Typical to the comforting flavours of your childhood, these healthy veggie bites - aka Carrot Cake bars are nothing short of a quick and healthy treat.

The frosting is a simple whipped greek yogurt frosting which is laughably easy but arguably the best frosting over this healthy carrot cake.
