Ginger Soy Cauliflower

I just love this recipe so much. I lovemaking Asian inspired recipes.

Especially, to change my mood or for a quick fix dinner, I think Asian recipes are always the perfect cure.

They are so easy to make and always turn out better than takeout versions.

GINGER SOY CAULIFLOWER

Ginger Soy Cauliflower

This Ginger Soy Cauliflower is actually something which I thought of on my own and when I made this everyone loved this.

I served this with some Rice Noodles and it was one of the best dinners ever.

I personally have a weakness for Ginger than for Garlic. Although in most Asian recipes Ginger and Garlic are inseparable but contrastingly in this recipe, you only need to use Ginger.

Cauliflower is my answer to all things Vegetarian. Whenever I am having a discussion with my friends the biggest concern everyone seems to have is what is the best alternative for Chicken and Meat. And my instant response to them is Cauliflower.

Cauliflower is my favorite Veggie and the proof is my blog -

Have you tried my Butter Cauliflower Curry or

Bang Bang Cauliflower or

Cauliflower Parmesan  or

Roasted Garlic Parmesan Cauliflower or

Korean Cauliflower Wings  or

Cauliflower Rice Risotto with Peas or

Turmeric Roasted Cauliflower and Black Bean Tacos or

Crispy Roasted Cauliflower Tacos with Chipotle Romesco or

Sesame Cauliflower in Air Fryer

Cauliflower has the closest meaty taste to itself which makes it taste so amazing with any kind of sauce or glaze.

Also, it cooks even quicker than Chicken or Meat, or Fish.

The Soy Ginger Sauce

soy ginger sauce

The Soy Ginger Sauce is sweet and sticky with a bit of heat from the Ginger. Ginger has that strange taste to itself, which you get bites of as well as it flavors the sauce brilliantly.

This Ginger Soy Sauce flavors the Crispy Fried Cauliflowers brilliantly.

This sweet and sticky sauce is one of my favorite Asian Sauces. I like to serve this with Potstickers or Dumplings.

The thing about Chinese Cuisine is that Ginger is used to cutting out on Seafood's Strange smell. Hence, you might have heard of Ginger Soy Salmon or Ginger Soy Shrimp.

Ginger is also said to be "Poor Man's Ginseng". This means that due to the medicinal values of Ginger it is commonly used in a lot of recipes.

And that's so true. Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties. Whenever I am feeling a little cold, I drink some Ginger Tea and my sore throat instantly feels relieved.

Ginger has a strong and sharp taste to itself, which can be a bit overpowering sometimes. And hence Soy Sauce with its equally overpowering taste balances out the sharpness of Ginger.

Also, Soy Sauce, Honey, Oyster Sauce, Sriracha, and Rice Vinegar are used in making this Ginger Soy Sauce.

How to make Ginger Soy Cauliflower

Here's a brief explanation of how to make Ginger Soy Cauliflower. You can find the detailed recipe with guided instructions below. Also, watch the video for a quick visual.

VEGAN ALTERNATIVE - Skip Eggs and dredge the Cauliflower in Cornstarch and melted Vegan butter mixture.

Second - Make the Sauce - To make the sauce in a pan, heat some Sesame Oil. As the oil shimmers, add finely chopped Ginger. Allow the ginger to get aromatic for 1 minute. Next, add the sauces - Dark Soy Sauce, Rice Vinegar, Oyster Sauce, Ketchup, Sriracha, and Honey.

Third - Simmer the Sauce - Toss to combine everything. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken for 2-3 minutes.

Fourth - Add the Cauliflower. Toss to combine everything.

Fifth - Garnish with some Ginger juliennes, chopped Cilantro, and chopped Green Onions.

Serve with Rice Noodles or any Noodles of your choice. You can also serve this with a bowl of Jasmine Rice.

Other Possible Alternatives to this recipe

Ginger Soy Cauliflower
  • If you want you can grill the Cauliflower and then use it. However, for that, you will have to skip on the crispy coating of Cornstarch and Eggs.
  • You can bake the Cauliflower. Do the Coating and then again coat them with Panko Breadcrumbs. Bake the Cauliflower at 400F or 230C for 15 minutes, tossing midways.

Serving Soy Ginger Cauliflower

I like to serve this Soy Ginger Cauliflower with some chopped Cilantro and chopped Spring Onions on top. You can also add some Sesame Seeds on top for that improved Nutty taste. However, if you're really pressed on ingredients, just go ahead and skip these.

You can serve this Soy Ginger Cauliflower with Rice Noodles or any noodles. We also, enjoy this with some homemade Rice or Brown Rice along with some Steamed Veggies or a quick Asian Salad. I love to top this over my bowl of Salad for lunch and it's such an accomplished meal! You just got to try it once. 🙂

This Soy Ginger Cauliflower takes just 20 minutes to make and feels like you have got it from some high-end Chinese Restaurant. The Cauliflowers are crispy on the outside, while they are equally moist and soft on the inside. Also, this is a one-pot recipe which means easy cleanup. Just one pan to wash at the end of the recipe which means Yayy!!!
