Fruits One Should Eat every day

Jul 28, 2021 No Comments

Fruits One Should Eat every day - Fruits have always been said to be good for one's health. There's even a saying about it-: "an apple a day keeps the doctor away!"

But did you know that there are fruits out there even healthier than apples? If you are among those who don't like apples but still want to have your options open, then you are at the right place! We'll tell you all about the healthy fruits you should have every day to keep yourself in front of everyone else!

Which fruits we should eat daily?

1. Apples

Let's start with the all famous apples. This fruit is considered so healthy that there is even a saying about it! But can an apple really keep you away from doctor's checkups? If we take a look at the many nutrients apples have, they can at the least keep you healthy enough to never require going to a doctor!

Apples are first of all rich in fiber, both the soluble and insoluble kind. These fibers help in keeping your blood sugar low, support digestion, and keep your gut healthy. Apples also help in keeping you away from heart conditions.

The health benefits of apples don't just end here. Apples have an abundance of vitamin C and disease combating compounds. This is why if you develop the habit to have apples daily you can prevent the risk of many serious diseases such as stroke, heart conditions, and even cancer.

If you want to take advantage of all the nutrients that apples come with, you also need to eat them the right way. Most of us simply peel away the skin from the apple, which throws away a lot of nutrients the apple contains, as they are right under the skin. Instead just washing the apples and eating them straight away is the best way to consume them. This way you will be getting the most from this wonderful fruit! Make recipes like Apple Crisp Baked Brie, New York-Style Apple Crumb Pie, Brown Butter Apple Blondies with Pecan Nuts, Stuffed Baked Apples with Walnuts, Raisins, and Cranberries

2. Bananas

Most fruits require washing and peeling with a knife before they can be eaten. But not this fruit! Bananas are probably the most fuss-free fruit you can ever have. You don't need to wash them and they can be peeled by hands alone! If there's the fruit you would keep in your backpack for an emergency snack, bananas are your go-to choice! But can they also be your go-to choice when it comes to healthy eating?

Bananas are already known for being a rich source of potassium. But that's not all they offer. They are also a very good source of vitamins and minerals like (1) Vitamin C; (2) Vitamin B6; (3) magnesium. In addition to these basic nutrients, bananas also come with helpful plant compounds and prebiotics that will help keep your gut healthy by encouraging the growth of good gut bacteria.

While we are talking about bananas, let's also clear up one popular myth about them. Many people think raw bananas are healthier than ripe ones when both have their own benefits. Raw bananas have high fiber content that is good for your digestive system while ripe ones are easily digestible and a great energy source. So whether you take your bananas raw or ripe, it's a win-win for your health either way! Make recipes like Mini Banana Cheesecakes, Peanut butter Banana Bread, Strawberry Banana Bread, Banana Nut Blondies with Chocolate Frosting, Eggless Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies, Tropical Chia Banana Smoothie and more.

3. Strawberries

Many people love strawberries and for a very good reason. They are delicious and very easy to eat. But did you know that they are also very nutritious to your health? Strawberries may look tiny, they come packed with many nutrients!

Like many fruits, strawberries have a good value of vitamins and plant compounds. They also have folate and manganese. What makes strawberries special is that they have a high amount of anthocyanins. It is what gives strawberries their reddish color. But that's not what it all does. Studies have shown it also lowers the chance of chronic diseases. And since strawberries are low on sugar, you can eat them however much you want without any guilt! Who knew a small strawberry is capable of so much goodness? Make recipes like Strawberry Shortcake, Strawberry Banana Bread, Healthy Strawberry Oatmeal Bars, Strawberry Crisp (+Video), Strawberry Yogurt Parfait

4. Durian

Yes, we know they smell very bad. But trust us when we say their nutrient value is worth facing their stinky smell! Just a cup of durian fruit contains a long list of healthy nutrients like (1) vitamin C & B; (2) potassium; (3) manganese; (4) thiamine.

In addition, durian also contains a variety of plant compounds that support health and strengthen the immunity system of our body. Doctors also advise durian to people with a slow digestive system as its pulp contains probiotics which can help speed up the digestive process.

5. Kiwi

Kiwi is also called the Chinese gooseberry. In fact, the kiwi was used in traditional Chinese medicine for its good digestive properties! That's probably because of the digestive enzymes it contains, making it so healthy for our stomach and gut! But the goodness of this small fruit doesn't just end here. Kiwi is also rich in nutrients like vitamins C & E, potassium, and even carotenoids! The latter especially helps in keeping your eyes sharp and healthy! Make recipes like Healthy Kiwi Chia Pudding

So these were the 5-fruits that one should eat every day. If not every day at least once a week. Try and include them in your diet as much as possible.
