INSTRUCTIONS
Add the spiced cranberry simple syrup to the bottom of a champagne flute
Top with Champagne or sparkling white wine slowly.
Stir gently if you'd like the flavor to be evenly distributed, or let the syrup stay mostly to the bottom for a sweeter finish as you sip.
Spice with a cinnamon stick and a few fresh cranberries.
Serve immediately and enjoy the sparkle.
Notes
*This syrup is delightfully uncomplicated - just cranberry juice simmered with water, sugar, bagged mulling spices (Cinnamon sticks, Whole cloves, Star anise, Allspice berries, Cardamom pods, Orange peel or dried citrus peel ) along with some sliced oranges, and cinnamon sticks. It's the sort of recipe that will fill your kitchen with that holiday magic and make the whole house smell like Christmas.
