Delicious Salted Caramel Apple Pie Bars is a divine fall dessert with apples. The streusel on top with Oats, Flour, and butter gives a nice crunch to these bars and the salted caramel sauce on top adds to the moisture of these bars. The inner layer is that of sweetened apples with Cinnamon, Butter, and loads of Walnuts.
Line an 8by8 inch Baking tray with Parchment paper and preheat your oven to 350 F or 180 C
Melt Caramel in the oven or make your own Salted Caramel sauce.
Apple Filling
Peel, Core and Chop the Apples and mix it with brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Mix well and keep aside.
Base
In a mixing bowl add the flour, butter, brown sugar, and vanilla essence. Mix everything well and make a soft dough. Press the dough into an 8by8 in a lined baking tray and spread to the sides to make a proper base. Bake this base for 15 minutes at 350 F or 180 C
Streusel
In a mixing bowl add the Rolled Oats, Flour, Coarse Sugar, Baking Soda, and Cold butter. Mix it with your hands until you get a pea-sized crumbly mixture.
Finally, when the base is ready, top it with the Apple Filling, followed by some Walnuts and the Salted Caramel Sauce
Top with a layer of the Streusel and bake at 400 F or 200 C for 30 minutes. Cool it down completely before you cut it into squares.
Top with some more Salted Caramel Sauce and keep aside.
