INSTRUCTIONS
Take a saucepan pan that is small to medium in size, the latter being the better option. Get started by adding all the ingredients in the saucepan while it is on low heat.
Mix all the ingredients together and keep stirring it with your spatula (or spoon) until it starts to simmer up. Remember, you don't want your keto ketchup mixture to boil. You just want it to simmer as that'll mean the ingredients are thoroughly cooked.
Now you can bring the heat to the absolutely lowest setting and just let the mix keep on simmering for about ten minutes.Make sure to keep stirring it as you don't want the mixture to stick on the bottom of the saucepan.
Once the ten minutes have passed and the ketchup is sufficiently thick, turn off the heat and let it cool. Make sure that you turn the heat off a little early as the ketchup will continue to keep on getting thick as it cools down to room temperature.
Once it's cooled completely you can either use it immediately as your condiment or store it away for future use.
Notes
Storage
This homemade Keto Ketchup does not have any added preservatives, so you'll need to be a little extra vigilant when it comes to storing it.You cannot leave it out at room temperature as it'll spoil easily that way. Instead you should pack your keto ketchup in an airtight bottle (preferably made of glass) and store it in the sauce shelf of your refrigerator. This way you can expect your keto ketchup to last a month pretty easily! This can be frozen for 3 months when stored properly.
