Crockpot Hawaiian Chicken with Sweet Pineapple Glaze - Juicy Chicken cooked with Pineapples in a slow cooker is an easy summer crockpot meal where all you need to do is simply- dump and forget. Serve this with Traditional Hawaiian Macaroni Salad or steamed broccoli and your dinner is sorted.
1TablespoonDark Soy Saucemake sure it is low sodium
1TeaspoonVinegarcan use apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
1TablespoonChili Garlic Saucecan replace with red pepper flakes or harissa paste
1inchGinger(1 tablespoon grated)
1Teaspoonminced Garlic
2TablespoonsHoneycan replace with brown sugar
Garnish
Fresh Chopped Parsleyfor garnish (OPTIONAL)

INSTRUCTIONS
In a bowl or a pyrex measuring cup combine the ingredients for sauce. Stir lightly. Taste it. Adjust with more honey if you want it sweeter. If it's already too sweet, then adjust with some vinegar or chili garlic sauce. HINT: You can add ¼ cup orange juice for added flavor.
Place chicken pieces in a bowl. Coat them with cornstarch.
Pour Olive Oil in slow cooker. Add Chicken and sliced Pineapples. Pour the sauce. Use a spoon to coat it evenly. HINT: You can add 1 red bell pepper and 1 yellow bell pepper cut into 1-inch chunks
Cover the pot with a lid and slow cook on High for 2-hours or on low for 4-hours. Garnish with chopped parsley or sliced green onions (if desired) and serve. HINT: Add some lime zest for added flavor.

Adjust the sauce as per your taste. If it tastes too sweet then add some chili garlic sauce.
RECOMMENDED VARIATIONS:
You can add 1/4 cup orange juice for added flavor. Orange Juice and Pineapple pairs well.
You can add in some red pepper flakes if you want some heat.
You can add 1/3 cup hoisin sauce for added flavor.
Instead of olive oil you could use toasted sesame oil or regular sesame oil.
