Chocolate Cobbler is an easy and extremely tasty chocolate dessert that you can make in less than 30-minutes. It's so delicious that you would not want to share it with anyone. And, trust me, you would definitely feel like finding an excuse to bake this easy chocolate dessert at least once a week.
Preheat oven to 350F and grease a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl combine Flour, Sugar, Cocoa Powder, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, and Salt. Use a wire whisk to mix well.Add Liquid Agents: Into this add Milk, Melted Butter, and Pure Vanilla Extract. Use a rubber or silicone spatula to mix well.
Place in a baking dish: Spread the mixture in a baking dish greased with cooking spray.
Make Dry Topping: In another bowl combine Brown Sugar, Granulated Sugar, Salt, and Cocoa Powder. Sprinkle this topping on the top of the batter. Do not stir.
Pour Boiling Water: Pour Boiling water on the topping. Do Not Stir.
Bake: Bake for 30-minutes at 350F in a preheated oven. The top of the cake will be crumbly and there will be liquid chocolate on the inside. Serve: Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
If you don't have baking soda, you can replace it with Baking Powder. Just use 1 teaspoon of Baking Powder instead of baking soda.
Use dark unsweetened cocoa powder like Hershey's dark cocoa powder for a bitter-sweet, rich taste.
