Combine the Milk and Vinegar in a cup and keep aside. This is a replacement for Buttermilk. If you have Buttermilk, just use 1/2 cup of that.
In a mixing bowl combine Flour with Sugar, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Salt, and Ground Nutmeg.
Add in the wet ingredients - Yogurt, Buttermilk mix, and Melted Butter in the mixture and combine to make a soft dough. Knead the dough until it gets light and soft.Allow the dough to rest for 35-40 minutes.
Roll the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness on all sides. Use a Donut cutter or 2 sizes of a cookie cutter to cut out your Donuts and carefully fry them in hot oil until both sides turn golden brown.
Melt Dark Chocolate with Butter in the oven or in a skillet over low heat and cool it down to room temperature.
Dip the Donuts in the melted chocolate (only one side) and place it on a wire rack so that the excess chocolate drips off.
Do the topping with funfetti or crushed Almonds or melted white chocolate or anything you wish to.
