Orange Cardamom Rolls is a flavorsome dessert recipe made with Mandarin Oranges and green Cardamoms. It's a unique take on the classic dessert - Cinnamon Rolls, but is flavored with Cardamom and dough is flavored with Orange juice & Orange Extract.
Preheat an oven at 430 F or 220 C and line a baking tray with parchment paper
In a mixing bowl, mix together brown sugar, cardamom, and oil. Keep aside
In a separate bowl, take the flour, sugar and cold butter. Mix with your hands until crumbly.
To this add Yogurt, White Vinegar, Orange Juice, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, and Orange Extract to the flour mix. Use a spoon to mix everything well. Make a soft dough using your hands.
Dust your board with flour and roll out the dough to about 12-inch size. Spoon the filling into the center and spread to the edges.
Start rolling your dough from the longer side. Dust your hands and the board with flour so that it becomes easy to roll out your dough.
Cut out 2-inch cubes from the roll and place them on the baking tray.
Bake your Orange Cardamom Rolls for 23 minutes at 220 C or 430 F. Get it out and cool it completely before you glaze it with cream cheese frosting.
