Classic Old-fashioned Baked Ham with Honey and Pineapple makes for a delicious Christmas dinner. This is one of the most Loved Christmas Ham recipes made with Pineapple, Maraschino Cherries, Brown Sugar and Honey.
Preheat the oven to 350F and place the Ham (flat side down) in a roasting pan. Let it sit at room temperature for about 1 hour.
Make a glaze. Dump all the glaze ingredients in a saucepan and bring it to a quick boil. As it boils, simmer the sauce for a few minutes.
Bake the Ham for about 2 hours (10 minutes per pound of meat). Bake the Ham uncovered for 2 hours After it gets cooked for 2 hours, brush the glaze and bake again for another 30 minutes. Baste the Ham every 7 minutes.
Stick Pineapple Rings on the Ham. One ring would require about 2 wooden toothpicks to stick to the hot baked Ham. Stick a Maraschino Cherry to the center of each Pineapple ring. Go around doing this till you cover the surface of the Ham. Place the Ham back in the oven and bake for additional 10 - 15 minutes basting every 5 minutes. Insert a meat thermometer to the thickest part of the Ham (avoid the bone) and check the internal temperature of the Ham. If it reads 120F then your Ham is perfectly cooked and ready to eat.
Remove from the Oven and allow it to rest for about 15 minutes before you cut it into slices and serve.
