INSTRUCTIONS
Whisk Flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder and Kosher Salt in a medium sized mixing bowl until combined
In another medium sized mixing bowl, add the melted butter, granulated sugar, Vanilla Extract, Red Food Color and Milk. Beat until combined using a stand mixer or hand held mixer.
Combine the wet and dry mixture. Fold using a rubber or wooden spatula just until combined. The cookie dough should be thick and sticky. Wrap the cookie dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or freeze for 10-15 minutes. Right before using it again, pull it out of the freezer and allow to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile Preheat the oven to 350 F or 180C and line a baking dish with parchment paper or silicone mat.
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the cookie dough. Roll it into balls. Roll the cookies with confectioners sugar. Place in the baking dish about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 10-11 minutes. If the cookies do not spread even after 9 minutes, get the baking dish out and lightly bang on the counter for 2-3 times or just use a spatula to lightly press the top. This will help initiate the spreading. Bake for 2-3 more minutes.
After the cookies gets cooked, allow them to cool down on the wire rack.
These cookies will stay fresh at room temp. for upto 1 week.

Notes
If you think that your cookie dough is cakey, then it's because of excess moisture in the cookie dough. Handle it a little delicately. Add just enough flour, sprinkling a little at a time and folding it with the cookie dough until the cookie dough gets thick and sticky. You can replace AP Flour with Gluten Free Baking Flour for GF VersionReplace Butter with Vegan Butter, Milk with Almond Milk and Skip out on the eggs for Vegan versionYou can refrigerate the cookie dough overnight or 2-3 days. However, if you're in a rush, just freeze the cookie dough for 15-20 min and then use it.
