Cheesy Chicken Parmesan Gnocchi Bake is a layered chicken and gnocchi casserole. This is extra special because the Chicken are coated with Parmesan and Panko and deep fried until crispy. And then these are used to layer along with Potato Gnocchi with loads of Mozzarella, Parmesan and Marinara Sauce. Finally this Chicken Parmesan Gnocchi is baked until the cheese gets bubbly on top and served. Its an easy dinner recipe for the family which is super cheesy and comforting.
Coat Chicken with Panko & Parmesan: Add the diced Chicken in a bowl. Pour the Beaten Eggs, Panko Breadcrumbs and Shredded Parmesan Cheese in the Chicken. Add the salt and pepper. Toss to combine everything.
Cook the Chicken: Heat Olive Oil in a skillet. As the oil shimmers, add the Chicken and cook until crispy on both sides for 3-4 minutes over medium-high heat. Once the Chicken gets crispy, remove from the skillet and keep aside.
Toss the Gnocchi: In the same skillet, add some more olive oil. As the oil shimmers, add the Gnocchi to the skillet and toss for 2 minutes over medium - high heat. Once they get slightly cooked, remove from the skillet and keep aside.
Layer the Casserole: Pour 2 tablespoon of Marinara sauce in the casserole and spread it evenly. Add half of the Gnocchi and Chicken over it. Top with a layer of shredded Mozzarella Cheese and freshly grated Parmesan Cheese. Repeat the same until you use up all the Chicken and Gnocchi. Top with Marinara and Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Bake uncovered for 10-15 minutes. After it gets baked, add some more sliced Mozzarella Cheese and shredded Parmesan Cheese on top and broil for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts on top.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve
