½teaspoonBaking Sodacan use GF
⅛teaspoonKosher Salt
1cupButtermilk
1teaspoonPure Vanilla Extract
1cupDark Brown Sugarpacked
1stickMelted Unsalted Butterat room temp.
for the frosting
1cupHeavy Cream
2tablespoonCocoa Powdermore to dust on top
½cupGranulated Sugar
Non-Parelisfor decoration (optional)
Prevent your screen from going dark
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350F and line a Baking dish with Parchment Paper. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Fold until combined. Transfer to a lined baking dish and bake @350F for 20-25 minutes.
To make the frosting, beat Heavy Cream with Granulated Sugar and Cocoa Powder. Beat using a handheld mixer, until you get stiff peaks. Frost over the cake using an offset spatula.
Decorate by dusting some more Cocoa Powder on top and some non-pareils. Cut into squares and serve

FOR VEGAN VERSION
Just replace whole milk with Almond Milk. Just add 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to 1 cup of Almond Milk, stir and let it cuddle to make Vegan Buttermilk. Also, use Vegan butter. All other baking instructions will remain the same.
